The 2025 Conference

The 2nd edition of AfreGov is scheduled for August 2025, centered on the theme: Building a Digital Africa through Public Infrastructure and Inclusive eGovernance. This theme emphasizes the role of public digital infrastructure in improving governance systems, enhancing government service delivery, and fostering citizen engagement across the continent. By leveraging e-governance, Africa can strengthen transparency, accountability, and inclusion in its governance structures while driving sustainable socio-economic transformation.

The Venue

The Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC)

It is Africa’s leading Conference destination located on Cape Town’s beautiful northern foreshore. The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) offers world-class facilities in one of the most breathtaking settings in South Africa with Table Mountain as its backdrop.

Center facilities

The center can accommodate up to 10,000 delegates in a theatre-style setup within its exhibition hall. Among its many features, it boasts two state-of-the-art auditoriums equipped with superb acoustics, advanced technology, and ergonomic seating with writing tablets. These spaces are perfect for large formal gatherings, lectures, award ceremonies, and even theatre productions. The auditoriums have seating capacities of 1,500 and 620 guests, respectively. Each comes with a stage, large screens, six translation booths, and a dedicated projection room.

The African Development Bank Group (AFDB)

Khartoum (Sudan), September 1964. A group of African men meet in Khartoum, Sudan, to ratify the multinational agreement establishing the African Development Bank. They represent twenty-five governments from across the continent. They are all invested with the same mission and bearers of the same hope: that this new institution will contribute to the development and unity of Africa.

The Republic of Zambia SMART Zambia Institue

The Electronic Government (e-Gov), also known as the Smart Zambia Institute, is a division of the Office of the President responsible for the management and promotion of e-government services and processes; facilitating access to e-government services to improve service delivery for citizens; and coordinating e-government and information and communication technology matters in public bodies. The division derives its mandate from the e-Government Act No. 41 of 2021. This governance law is necessary to facilitate access to e-government services to improve service delivery.

The Africa Union Development Agency ( AUDA-NEPAD)

Lors de la 31e session ordinaire de la Conférence des chefs d’État et de gouvernement de l’Union africaine, tenue à Nouakchott (Mauritanie) en juin 2018, il a été décidé de transformer l’Agence de planification et de coordination du NEPAD en Agence de développement de l’Union africaine-NEPAD (AUDA-NEPAD). La création de l’AUDA-NEPAD s’inscrit dans le cadre des réformes globales visant à améliorer l’impact et l’efficacité opérationnelle de l’Union.Le mandat de l’AUDA-NEPAD est de : a) Coordonner et exécuter des projets régionaux et continentaux prioritaires pour promouvoir l’intégration régionale en vue de la réalisation accélérée de l’Agenda 2063.
