Developing the eGovernance Framework for Africa
The Africa eGovernance Conference Initiative team recently met with Her Excellency Ambassador Marie-Antoinette Rose-Quatre, Chief Executive Officer of the Africa Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), during a visit to the APRM Secretariat in Midrand, South Africa.
Discussions focused on a shared vision—leveraging eGovernance as a catalyst for the realization of Agenda 2030 and Agenda 2063. Both parties expressed commitment to advocating for a digitally inclusive future and improved public service delivery for African citizens.
Peer learning was highlighted as a key driver of digital transformation across public service and other critical sectors. By showcasing successful models from different countries, development partners and African Union agencies such as the APRM can support member states in implementing cost-effective, agile, and transformative eGovernance systems aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As a specialized agency of the African Union, the APRM plays a pivotal role in fostering policies, standards, and best practices that promote political stability, economic growth, and sustainable development across the continent.
The Africa eGovernance Conference Initiative is proud to announce APRM as a Co-Host of the Africa eGovernance Conference 2025, to be held in Cape Town, South Africa.
This landmark conference will bring together policymakers, technologists, and thought leaders committed to advancing Africa’s digital transformation.
